what prompted your move to pennsylvania?
Prior to moving to Pennsylvania, we spent three and a half years living in Florida while Kurt worked on his PhD. He’s writing his dissertation now and hopes to complete his degree in 2020! We moved to Pennsylvania because there wasn’t anything else keeping us in Florida while Kurt completes his dissertation. His teaching contract ended with the university at three years so we took the opportunity to move closer to family as we tried to start our own family!
What has your fertility treatment protocol included?
Our treatments have all been oral medications with a trigger shot and timed intercourse thus far. We’ve tried both Letrozole and Clomid a total of nine different times, and I have responded better to Clomid at 150 MG daily for five days. Additionally, I’ve triggered with Ovidrel to stimulate ovulation which we’ve followed with timed intercourse. We are getting ready to move on to IVF later this year because oral medications have not resulted in a successful pregnancy for us.
what are some of your favorite infertility resources that have helped you navigate your journey?
This is such a great question! There are so many resources and people that I’ve used to navigate each step of this journey over the past three years. I’ve organized them into a few categories below. I hope that you find something that is helpful to you!
