February 2017 Goals
After I posted the full list of my 2017 goals midway through January, I realized that I never shared with you what areas of each goal I was focusing on within the month! So before I jump into sharing what my focus for February will be, let me first share with you what I worked on last month.
January Goals:
Finish knitting the baby blanket for Mattye's little one on the way
Go through the PowerSheets Couples Goal Setting Companion Guide with Kurt
Have a budget and calendar planning meeting with Kurt
Review 2017 calendar and mark birthday reminders
Unsubscribe from online shopping emails
Follow the 30 day Simplicity Challenge with Emily Ley
Purchase all of the books on my 2017 reading list
Replenish my greeting card supply
Overall, I'm pleased with the progress I made in my January goals, especially because I really only started focusing on them midway through the month! One thing that I love about the 2017 PowerSheets are the progress bars that accompany each line within the monthly goals section. I felt like I was able to see more progress throughout the month because I could shade in part of the bar each time I took a step forward. With just a check box in last year's version, it sometimes felt like I wasn't ever accomplishing anything!
Regarding my progress with each of those monthly goals from January, here's how I did:
January Goals Progress:
Finish knitting the baby blanket for Mattye's little one on the way - I ran out of yarn with about ten days left in the month and had to purchase another skein. In the process of getting started with that second skein I also realized I'd made a huge mistake, so had to rip out the section I had been working on! But I restarted the last section this weekend, and now only have a few more rows to go now before I am finished!
Watch Style and Styleability Intro Series - DONE! (Up next is participating in a five-week online class that teaches 10 secrets to timeless style!)
Go through the PowerSheets Couples Goal Setting Companion Guide with Kurt - with two work weekends that required travel, Kurt and I just didn't get to this in January. I've placed it on our list for February instead!
Have a budget and calendar planning meeting with Kurt - same thing here. I reviewed our budget and calendar on my own and filled in things so Kurt knew when I was coming and going. We are planning to get back to our regularly scheduled meetings in February.
Review 2017 calendar and mark birthday reminders - DONE!
Unsubscribe from online shopping emails - DONE! (I am doing these as I receive them, so there might be a few more that I unsubscribe from in February. But the large majority have been removed from my inbox!)
Follow the 30 day Simplicity Challenge with Emily Ley - DONE! (While I didn't do the action listed for every day of the challenge, I did follow along and complete the actions that were most relevant to me! You can check the hashtag #SimplicityChallenge2017 on Instagram to see what is outlined for all 30 days.)
Purchase all of the books on my 2017 reading list - DONE! (If you want to know what's on my 2017 reading list, I shared all 21 books on my list here!)
Replenish my greeting card supply - DONE! (And I am SO excited to send some of these this year!)
Looking forward to February, I'll be focusing on these goals:
